are all allergic babies so miserable, even though Im really careful with his diet he still gets belly ache a lot and is quite a misery, bless him. he also drinks huge amounts of water and has an orange tint to his skin, has had various test for diabetes, kidneys etc but all negative. still drinks loads water and his skin changes colour practically overnight!I woke up this morning and he looked like hed been tangoed!he has got a very high amount of beta-carotene (food colouring) in him but now hes not on the jars of baby food i thought the colour would go if it was food related. is he the only one out there!

DS is allergic to dairy, soya, fish, egg, peanuts, and some other vegetables but has never had an orange skin.

Don't know really what to say, apart from, hopefully, things will get better once he is a bit older.

I would put him on some dairy free probiotics and see if these help his orangeness. I am not sure how, but maybe by sealing the gut whatever is causing it would be stopped from entering the body.

DS is allergic to egg and peanut - he was wheat, dairy and fish but has outgrown. I found as long as I strictly avoided those things we haven't had any problems. Has he been tested for those things and others?? Perhaps he could be intolerant to something else. I can't help you with the orange skin sorry. Hope you find an answer soon.

My ds is 17 months and is awaiting allergy testing (seeing paed next wed, 14th). I know that he is milk & egg allergic and think there may be something with either wheat or gluten. He also has a yellowy/orange tint to his skin, but I put that down to the baby jars of spaghetti bolognaise that he eats! My ds also drinks loads of water and is quite miserable (although his temperment may be due to his high BP caused by heart probs)

I remember reading of kids on sunny delight going orange coloured, don't remember the details but a google might show it up. My most allergic child was a difficult baby and I suspect it was food problems. I wish I'd known about probiotics/ infacol containing lactase then. I suspect much of the crying we regard as noral for babies is because the poor things can't cope with what they are fed.

hi mymama s is allergic to all dairy, soya, gluten etc etc!he tested last week, Rast and antibody tests, hopefully get results before xmas as finding it hard to find food for him. even though he not on jars anymore his colour changes from a pale orange to bright orange, very strange. at the back of my mind im sure hes got a problem somewhere other than allergies (also comes out in hives to antibiotics and antihistamine)but tests have been inconclusive so far. its so nice to be in touch with other mums who are coping with the same.
