Hi everyone - you've all helped me greatly in the past (babybarrister - you've been great !!) - can anyone help me with this.

My DD 5yo has allergies to all nuts, sesame seeds, chick peas and lentils. She has eczema (severe) - we see a dermatologist.

I made spag bol last night with celery in - she had bad lip swelling and welts over her face. Being used to such things, we monitored her, gave her piriton and it eventually went away. No need to use epipen (thank god).

Anyway, I've just googled celery allergy and it seems to be really serious (i.e. most likely allergy to cause anaphylactic shock and celery seems to be in everything ??? I am really worried about this. It seems that cooking doesn't get rid of the allergen?

Does anyone have any experience of this. What should I do next? I've made an appointment to GP to see if I can get a referral back to the allergy specialist as I'm very concerned for my DD.
