Had dyshidrotic eczema on my feet for last 6 years - it's worse this time of year, usually goes away around October.

Is this the 1st time you've had it?

Dwpending on how bad it it, I recommend you get some steroid cream from GP asap (don't waste time with over the counter hydrocortisone), nip it in the bud if you can.

OMG does someone else have this too. Its terrible in the heat and I get it on the train too as my mind isn't on work etc, its on my feet! It's so embarrassing when I get the itch and I can either scratch or come out in a massive sweat.
I have extremely potent steroids but nothing will shift the welts on my fet at the mo, it's gross!!!!!!

Me too
Lot worse in the summer too. Some shoes also make it worse.
Used to get if on my fingers but for some reason it moved to my feet. Hormones also affect it.

The old fashioned porridge oats remedy is very good for itching
Just put some porridge in mesh ie pair of tights
Soak in warm water for a few minutes
Sqeeze and use the paste that comes through the mesh on the eczema.

bruffin · 12/05/2011 21:32

Also take an antihistamine

Nothing has worked on the eczema on my feet and for more than 10 years I have had no sleep due to it. I have not been able to wear shoes and at time have been off work for months dur to the severity. Then my friend told me about foderma serum and i gave to try After just one week I had such a tremendous improvement I just couldn't believe it. My skin is now return to normal after around 3 weeks of use foderma serum. It truly relieves the discomfort. Stops the unbearable itching, cools the burns and makes my skin feel normal.
