holiday in Switzerland with dairy allergy

DH and I are trying to sort out our summer holidays and are thinking of possibly going to Switzerland.

DD (who will be 4 when we go) is allergic to CMP and I wonder how she would cope in a country that I always associate with cheese - amongst other things!

I have emailed the hotel to see if they could cater for her allergy but I just wondered if anyone has experience of eating out in Switzerland?

We will probably drive down so will be able to take cartons of soya milk and dairy free butter etc with us so we can knock up picnic lunches for her quite easily but its just the restaurants that worry me

any help much appreciated!

You may want to brush up on the dialect (German, Italian or French speaking area ?) so you can ask but most places will be able to cater for basic lacto free/veggie etc if asked. There will be soya milk etc in larger supermarkets, health food shops or pharmacies. Not everything is served with with cheese lol!
