Egg/Dairy birthday party

Hi,

My DD will be 1 in April and I am planning a small birthday party for her. She is allergic to milk and eggs.

I plan to have all food/drink at the party dairy and egg free. I don't want to have to worry about possible allergic reactions plus, as its my DD's bithday I want her to be able to eat everything - I am actually quite excited about it!

I am looking for recommendations for dairy and egg free bithday cakes, either to make myself or to buy. I would prefer to buy but have had a look online and cakes seem to be very expensive.

I plan to serve dairy free choc buttons, crisps, jelly, dairy free ice cream and dairy free crispy cakes. Any other ideas would really be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

AFAIK Waitrose are very good for specialist and food for various allergies. I know my friend gets a lot of gluten free stuff in there. Waitrose will always bend over backwards to help so don't be afraid to ask.

I'm afraid I don't have waitrose near me 2old Sad

That's a shame - they're are everywhere here. Just presumed they had countrywide domination Grin

Only other things I could think of were fruit and little sausages (we've found most but not all to be egg and milk free).

I was away from home for ds2s birthday and it wa s in the summer so we made a summer fruits mountain instead of a cake and put a couple of candles in. He loved it and still talks about it now ( it was his rid birthday).
