Does all pasta contain a trace of egg even if its wheat based

My nursery rang me to say that could they give my ds pasta as their manufacturer says it contains a trace of egg and that all pasta does. It stops it sticking. Im very concerned because my ds is allergic to egg on its own and we have been avoiding it in things as he has severe constipation. Side effect of allergys. If anyone knows please let me know

Hi my 14 mth old dd has an strong egg allergy (when tested with skin prick)and the consultant at the hospital told me that most babies can tolerate it when it is highly baked eg in cakes and biscuits, is it cooked well in pasta? I am not sure, however I have been giving it to my baby for a while now as I didn't know it had egg in it and she has been fine!

only the fresh pasta in the chilled section has egg.normal dry pasta is egg free.My ds has severe egg allergy and is fine with dried pasta.

I have just checked that (had pasta for dinner ) and it had semolina but not egg. So I guess it should be fine. Does it depends on the brand?

Most say contains traces as they are made in same factory as the posh pasta which does contain egg.

Sure the glueten free pasta doesn't contain traces of egg, but don't have any to check at the mo, sorry!

Always thought an allergy caused loose poo.?

My ds is highly allergic to egg and tolerates pasta okay.
