Suddenly excema after birth of second child

Hello MNers - I thought someone out there might be able to help!

I had my second baby, first son 3 months ago. About a week after the birth I started to get an itchy rash. It started around my bellybutton and gradually spread all over my body except my face. It went as soon as it came - I woke up and it was gone about 6 weeks after birth.

Now it has come back again. this time it started on my breast and it again has spread all over. Oddly it is in different places this time. Less on my arms and legs, more on my torso and bottom.

The itching is drivin me crazy and i cant think why this would suddenly happen!

Any ideas?
Thank you!

I know someone who developed nut allergy after one of her pregnancies. I guess the body can do weird things. Has GP been any help?

I had the same after the birth of my second. My legs were covered and the soles of my feet drove me insane at night! They're places that I don't normally get eczema. My GP said that you have higher levels of steroids in your body during pregnancy (my eczema clears up entirely when pregnant) and I kind of assumed it was a rebound thing afterwards.

Hope yours improves soon.
