Bread recipe - gluten and rice free

Hi all, my DS 9.5 months is allergic to milk, egg, peanuts and gluten. I had bought him some gluten free flour to bake bread and rusks from but hadnt given him any yet.

2 days ago i gave him a tiny piece of a rice cake Kelkin organic multigrain - gluten and nut free contains 70% brown rice, 20% corn, 5% flaxseed and 5% quinoa. He was only sucking on the piece and withing a few mins he was rubbing at his eyes, his face had gone all very red and blotchy and he had a hive on the back of his head.
Im presuming this is a reaction to the rice cake. He reacted badly (but more intolerance symptoms like cramps and belly pain) when i gave him baby rice when he was about 5.5 months old but the nutritionist told me no babies are allergic to rice ???????

Anyway sorry im going off track, the gluten free flour i bought is made from rice so i cant give it to him.

I cannot find a recipe anywhere to bake him bread as they all contain rice flour.
I give him millet porridge and i have heard you can use millet flour to back bread with but you need a raising agent which will most likely contain gluten.

Has anyone a recipe that would suit him, he was just looking up at me with big sad eyes while myself and DD ate some toast with his little hands out for some. It breaks my heart.

Your story is terribly distressing! I have developed bread for myself that is free of gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, yeast and peanuts. I combined old fashioned sourdough techniques with gluten free flours. I've compiled my techniques and recipes into a book and sell it from my website.

My first book was rice based.
Then I got requests for rice-free so I also offer a rice-free edition which makes excellent breads.

Feel free to message me on this site or directly. Good luck with your child's health.
sincerely,

Hmm - think there may be a recipe in one of my books, so adding this thread to my list to remind me to check. I presume that you have a breadmaker?
