Baby cotton gloves that actually stay on???

DD is 6m and has eczema, GP suggested I put cotton gloves on her to stop her scratching at night.
Ordered comfi-fitt mittens (something like that) through the chemist but a bit disappointed to see all I got for my £5 was a pair of stretchy bandages which come off when DD wriggles!
Anyone know where you can get baby size cotton gloves that don't fall off?

I never had any luck with scratch mittens, but the babygros with the built in scratch mittens (mothercare do them) worked a treat on my DS.

Hope your DD's eczema gets better soon Smile

We used socks too

amidaiwish · 08/08/2010 22:04

we taped dd2's scratchmitts to her babygro, loosely of course, but with very strong tape. was the only way.

Gap do some babygros with built-in scratch-mitts too. Look at their newborn range (goes up to about 12 months) in the little organza packets.

Thanks all, will be taking my silly gloves aka bits of bandage back for a refund

when DD1 grew out of the babygro's with built in mits we also ended up using masking tape to tape the gloves loosely to her clothes and babygro's.

socks all the way!

When DD2 outgrew the socks (whipping them off with ease) we graduated to these and really like them www.scratchsleeves.co.uk/

Socks! Mine ...

Socks!

Not sure if the BabyGap ones are cotton but they seem to have some kind of magic elastic in them which means they never come off

Socks good but scratchsleeves were a lifesaver for us. Also for nighttime, JojoMamanBebe do all in ones with mits and feet up to age 2 (way beyond most other sleep suits!).

scratchsleeves all the way - they stay on, and unlike socks are much softer if baby rubs themself (as the mitt is double fabric with with outer side being silk) so it causes less irritation.

my tip - as we had to use them al most constantly, we bought 3 pairs - one to wear, one in the wash and one drying.
