Where can I find accessible alcohol support as a disabled person?

I’ve been a heavy drinker for over 40 years on and off. I have regular liver and kidney function tests and they’re always ok. My husband is also a massive drinker, his bloods are always ok too. The problem is that we fall out over and over because of our drinking. I’ve been to my GP several times for help and they keep referring me to a local recovery partnership. I’ve connected with them twice but I keep getting allocated to a support worker who I just don’t like. They won’t let me do anything online or by phone and insist I go face to face even though they know I’m disabled and can’t get out of the house alone. They let my husband connect online because he works full time even though they know his employer will allow him time away from work for meetings. I feel like he gets to pick and choose who/how he seeks help from because he works yet I’m expected to toe the line with agencies who help because I can’t work due to my disability so they think I can just rock up whenever they say so. Where can I for for help?

Honestly the Sinclair method would seem a perfect fit for you. Not sure about your position it’s not clear in the post but if you can afford/manage it then it might be transformational.

nb if you are spending $$$ on alcohol now you might be able to make it work
