Sober September buddies?

Hello, I’m going to try sober September if anyone fancies coming along too? Whether you’re an abstainer, cutting downer, or giving yourself a break before the Christmas onslaught (I might do October too, or most of it!)

Day three conveniently still mid week so going well!

I’m not sure that makes much sense, but I do think that 80s/90s/00s culture went mad for the drink and perhaps that’s dying away a bit now.

Yeah there was deffo more of a mad drinking culture when I was younger I think

when I was pregnant I still had a brilliant social
life I was out loads clubbing all night and several festivals sober and it was bloody brilliant- so I know I can do it

my parents and their siblings drink insane amounts and so often too and it makes me wonder if I want to be like that when I’m retired - I’m not sure

also I dread to think how much money I’ve spent on bloody alcohol and what a waste it is really ! So many other things I’d rather spend my money on

Yes, I agree with you too. It's great that it's becoming more normalised not to drink.
Another day down. Im looking forward to Friday and am not craving a glass of wine.
