Limiting alcohol after habits creep in

Anyone else looking to reduce and/or stop alcohol? I’ve done dry January where ch spilled over into February so when I stop drinking I crave it less but since then I’ve slipped into bad habits and now I’m drinking more than ever. I’d like to stop completely for a good while and then only have a drink when out for an evening. If anyone wants to join for accountability and support I’d welcome it.

Hi, I’ve been mulling over doing something similar. I don’t drink loads but a few Friday wines or Saturday gin’s and I always feel rubbish the next day. It’s like the opposite of going for a run when you always feel better!

Just trying to drink a bit more carefully. So last night was a school music event and I’d normally have a glass or two but o chose not too. Result was I ate less and felt ok today.

Am on holiday next week which I usually have a drink every night on. Not going to make any promises but am going to think really hard if I really want it

Yeah - I need to do something about my alcohol intake. The first thing I do when I get home every evening is pour a glass of wine. Then another one with dinner and before I know it, half the bottle has gone.

On weekends I can do without it if I’m not going out, but in this hot weather I really love a G&T in the garden. I think I’m frequently pushing 20 units a week.

Time to break these bad habits because it messes with my sleep, and is making it really hard to lose weight.

@HearMeSnore my weight has gone up quite a bit in the last 6 months. My clothes are feeling tight and I’m unhappy so this is another reason for me too. My habit is definitely coming home and a glass of wine. I need to crack that habit and find something else that allows my brain to switch off for the day. Ironically it was always the gym before I had children
