Recommendations for social media/blogs/quit lit for young make drinker

Does anyone have any recommendations for quit lit or social media to support a young (ish) male? My son has issues with alcohol. He's currently getting some therapy but hasn't yet been able to seek other support such as from the nhs or AA. I'm looking for something that will help him realise that he's not alone and help deal with his shame. All suggestions welcome.

SoberDave has a social media presence and also a podcast - I think it’s called ‘One for the Road’. The only male written quit kit I can think of right now is ‘Dry’ by Augusten Burroughs but I will come back and update more if I remember any. I’d also suggest that there are lots of sober celebrities that your son might like to follow on social media. Wishing him all the best.

Addicted to Recovery. Two young(ish) Essex lads. They think it's all sober, very good and again, they're young.

Best of luck x

I was going to suggest they think it’s all sober too. Also alcohol explained by William porter which focuses on the science of what alcohol does to your body

Sober on a Drunk Planet by Sean Alexander is very good.

He just needs to have a snoop around on Instagram. There are loads. There is a guy called Josh Connelly who is quite good, he’s both a recovering addict and also the child of an alcoholic. He runs a group called Uncommon Man which does a lot with breathwork and recovery and men’s mental health.

A bit older, but Jason Vale's pretty cool and straight-talking about it... for the science part, Andrew Huberman, he's a bro.

It's great that you're supporting him! 🤗

"They think it's all sober" and "on the mend" podcasts. Both very good.

Loads of sober male celebs: Slash, Ed Sheeran, Steve-O, Tom Hardy, maybe find someone he looks up to or an area he's interested in and find some role models in that field?
