I must, I can, I will stop drinking alcohol

I've embarrassed myself several times now, around family, friends and strangers.
I've also engaged in casual sex on three occasions. Most recently I was sexually assaulted, on a prior to that occasion I was raped. While alcohol intake/being drunk does not excuse that being done to me, I got myself into those situations because I was shitfaced. Basically. Help, please

I am at home. I am single. I have good family nearby.

Empty every last drop of alcohol you have in the house down the toilet

say to a close family member that you really need to urgently too them to tell them something and it can’t wait. Go to them. Tell them.

Switch to an alternative adult drink, eg Nosecco or tonic water.

@Freehold,how much do you drink every day? Have you tried to give up in the past? Do you need to look at the health concerns around quitting cold turkey if you drink every day?

You can do this but you need support.
Have you had support for the sexual assaults?

I don't drink every day. I binge drink every weekend, sometimes it's every 10 days.

I have tried giving up several times in the past. I am getting some support for the rape, but not the assault. I am worried about seeing these men out around town as they live locally to me.

100 days tomorrow. Even though I’m in hospital for cellulitis and blood clot, the first makeshift ward was full of actual very upset liver patients shouting at top of their mind using the b and f words.

Never want to drink ever again.

How are you feeling this morning OP? Were you able to stay off it last night?

I got rid of it this morning. I don't keep alcohol at home usually.

@WandaWomblesaurusWonka I slept really well last night and haven't touched any alcohol since late Friday night.

I am feeling anxious, no mortified, at my behaviour 😕
