Carrying duty-free alcohol though Doha airport (transit)

I have a flight from the london to india on british airways with a 1.5-hour scheduled stopover in Doha. In other words, I have a flight from an airport in the london to DOH, and then the connecting flight is from DOH to India.
I would like to buy a couple of bottles of liquor from a duty-free shop in the london and carry them by hand all the way to India. I have never flown through Doha before. But, I know that in doha the security check — even for transit is very strict.

My question is, specifically for Doha, will they let me take the required bottles of alcohol in the duty-free bag on board the connecting flight? Can any of you speak from a recent personal experience?

You can buy it in DOH I think?

But trip advisor says you can transit with it.

Doha isn’t a dry state like Saudi or Bahrain so there shouldn’t be a problem with the fact it’s alcohol. They serve alcohol in the lounges there. Wrt to the fact it will be more than 100ml and you are going through security again I’d be checking with BA. It might be that you need to get the bag sealed.

When I transitted there the security screening applied the 100ml rule. That might have changed though.

If it is sealed duty free then they let it through regardless of the 100ml rule.

Bahrain definitely isn't a dry state living here for ten years I can confirm that!
