Alcohol-free May

I’ve been drinking far too much recently (about a bottle of red wine a night for the last month). I want to lose weight, improve my mood, save money and most importantly, feel fully alert and engaged for my new job I start next week. I figured the best way to achieve this is to quit drinking for the month of May. It’s going to be so tough, but I know that it’s something I need to do. I’ll be popping back here regularly to share the highs and lows. If anyone would like to join me please feel free!

Well done! You'll feel great once you settle into the new routine. Don't worry too much if you feel worse to start for the next week or so. It's your body just re-setting itself. Lots of water and have some cake and go to bed early and some fresh air and exercise. I stopped drinking last April, so it's been just over a year now and I feel a million times better.

I'm in! I have done the odd few dry months here and there but the moderation trap always gets me. I'd like to do a minimum of 100 days actually, but I'll strap in for Dry May with you, absolutely. Needs to be done x

I'll join you too. Had a few months off at the end of last year but have had a horrible start to the year and gone straight back to drinking a bottle of wine a day. I need to change and a month off would be a good start.

I'm in 🙂 my intake's creeping up and I'm feeling it.
