I'm on day 4 of quitting, not long I know but you have to start somewhere.
Has anyone swapped a drink for a Friday night treat? Either a non-alcoholic drink or a food that you save for a Friday or weekend night?

I’m having fish and chips followed by mint vienetta

Sparkling water, ice and lemon to drink. Tough as I have some mini prosecco in fridge that are tempting me. However I’m looking forward to feeling better tomorrow than a normal Saturday morning after a load of booze.

Well done you. I'm loaded with cold and has helped. But I've had a massive pizza at 4 so I'm still really full.

I just drink decaf coffee and read a book. I find reading more difficult if I’m drinking alcohol, so it makes a really nice change.

Bar of caramel chocolate - also helps to replace the sugar from the booze you will be craving

Mini eggs

I am day 1 but in the past when i have had periods of long sobriety I have made apoint of going to the cinema on friday evenings. DH sorts the Dcs out and I go to a movie which i have to drive to and from. My withching hour is the after school / work dinner period. If I go to a 7 pm showing then i can sort out dinners and kiss my boys and head off.

I love an ice cream sundae:
ice cream
whipped cream
meringue
fruit compote
grated chocolate
those biscuits shaped like straws

Some posh cheese and chutney!
