Done. That's two bottles of wine I haven't drunk, two less headaches and around £15 better off.

Just recording for my own satisfaction. As you were!

Well done, I'm here day 2 as well. Not decided if I'm just moderating or having a few days off, but I need the good nights sleep a sober evening brings right now. See you same time tomorrow?

scarediecat · 31/08/2022 20:36

@Hohofortherobbers yep 👍

Well done to you too!

Well done! Have also had a sober night tonight despite going out for dinner and having had a stressful day Smile

confusedlots · 31/08/2022 21:24

Day 1 here! I'm determined to start September sober and without a hangover. Am feeling a bit anxious and jittery, going to get showered soon and get into bed.

Buntyforgirls · 01/09/2022 09:01

Day 2 too!

Buntyforgirls · 01/09/2022 09:02

I WILL be on day 3! Need a reset after my hols.

Hohofortherobbers · 01/09/2022 19:56

Evening all, so nice to see we have a little band of us already! Sitting here with lime and soda. How are you guys doing?

Buntyforgirls · 01/09/2022 21:11

Chamomile tea😀! Well done, it's nice to feel my body is having time to repair.

scarediecat · 02/09/2022 19:52

Day 4 in. When do I get to feel invigorated and young??! Grin

Well done! I'm moderating, so will be back on the wagon starting Monday

AussieButterfly · 03/09/2022 00:24

I’m on day 2 here. Started 1st sept. I’m not sure how long I am going for but I need to break the habit and stop drinking most evenings.

Tryingtoquit18 · 03/09/2022 09:18

Can I join you? Day one here....again! It's got to stick this time. My drinking always ramps up in the summer when the kids are off school, plus an all inclusive holiday! My body can't take it anymore. I do dry January every year and feel great by the end of the month....but it slowly creeps back in to my life. I've signed up to the 30 day alcohol experiment so I'm hoping that gives me a bit of a kick in the right direction. Be great to get some support/ give support to you all on here too. Feeling hungover but motivated!

Hello. Can I join pls? Day 3 here - want a reset after the summer where I drank virtually every day. I usually do dry Jan and sober October but I always fall back into drinking too much.

scarediecat · 03/09/2022 20:50

Hi @againmaeve

I'm mostly using this thread for some sense of accountability! Trying for a 60 day break as I was using alcohol (and food!) too emotionally ... "I deserve this" kind of thing.

I've been pleasantly surprised at other people joining and having very similar reasons.

Can I join? I'm day 2 here. Was supposed to be from Sept 1 but... well.. hmm. I am going through a really, really bad time in life at the moment, and I need to keep a clear head and not turn to drink to cope.

scarediecat · 04/09/2022 18:30

Hi @Weatherstorm

Yep, it's really easy to have a drink, isn't it?! I hope whatever is troubling you can be solved.

I really wanted a glass of wine today after work but have managed to push through on squash Grin. Day 6 almost done.

Day 2 here. Feeling nervous but optimistic. Any tips for the first week?

Weatherstorm · 07/09/2022 19:55

Day 5 done here. Got to say last night was best sleep in ages :)
