Hi all!

I have read William Porter's Alcohol explained, and am halfway through Alcohol Explained 2. I have decided that this is it, I'm going to give his method my best go and would love this to be my breaking free!

I am primarily a binge drinker but those binges have got closer together... predictably. And the toll it takes on body and mind is too much.

Will post here on my progress!

@GotTheTshirtx1000 ah brilliant congrats! That all sounds lovely and positive. Treats are a great idea. And reading probably keeps you in the right mindset.

I am now on day 24. Today I've decided to make an effort to be a bit healthier in general, time to reduce the snacks and AF beers! I have been having lots of both and think I need to treat my body a bit better, to get the full benefit of being alcohol free. Not cutting out those things altogether, just want to keep them more for treats, and have more non food/drink treats.

I had a slip and drank yesterday. I know why I did it, I was feeling really stressed and depressed this week and didn't look after myself properly. I consider yesterday a slip rather than a full relapse. So I am reluctant to restart be sober clock as I have made a lot of progress this month. So will say I have been sober 28 of 29 days so far. And not planning to loose any more sober days or I will have to go back to day 1. Now to try and deal with the hard feelings that lead to the slip, and try and look after myself better.
