I find forever quite overwhelming. I have been on the 'freedom' thread under my previous user name and have managed 4-6 week stints of no alcohol.

I have really cut down, cut out week day drinking and have only drank at home 3 times since NYD.

I do go out and socialise on the weekend and drank Saturday and Sunday this weekend which alerted me to having to be conscious about drinking again.

I love wine, have a few favourites but the less I drink the more I hate the effects of alcohol the next day, which has kept me strong.

So here we go again, back to cutting it out completely for an undecided amount of time. Anyone with me? Also join if you just want to cut back or change your habit.

One life I'll join you .
I stopped drinking in the week on Monday so third night for me amd feeling very pleased to be honest .
I did do the Annie Grace 30 day experiment though before Christmas amd it was quite life changing . Having never really gone more than one night without drinking almost a bottle of wine for twenty years to not drinking for thirty days straight was not only easier than I thought with this but I mostly enjoyed it !

My mission now having crept into bad habits again is to abstain during the week and I've made a decision (amd told my partner to keep me accountable) if I can't abstain in the week then I'll have to abstain completely ! Enough said .

So I have an alcohol free beer when I get in and am drinking lots amd lots amd lots of water / chai tea etc

I would really recommend the 30 day experiment .... listen to the podcasts / read the book / journal .
I found myself reading everything I could when I first stopped and it really helped .
You've done this before so you know for certain you can do it again and the craving only lasts a minute so try amd distract yourself or go to bed early ?

@Easterdaffsx the craving has mostly gone at home, my biggest weakness is when I'm out for a nice meal!

I'm also trying to finally shift the baby weight. My baby doesn't sleep for longer than 2 hours at a time so that's also keeping me away from the wine!
