Well meaning friend (who doesnt know about AF attempt) bought me a bottle of prosecco as a thank you.
I politely popped it in my fridge, it literally called me all last night. This morning I've regifted it for a colleagues birthday.
Cant believe I didnt drink it, old me would of downed it plus more as it would of be rude not too!
Feel like I'm taking this seriously for the first time ,sat here sipping my AF fruit cider with a smile

Well done @Misty37 . It can be tough. I have just decided to go cold turkey re sugar. I have taken a personal vow to myself that I will never touch sugar again. I did this to cigarettes years ago and have been successful. You owe it to yourself, especially if consuming alcohol affects your life.
Stay strong and sober.

Thanks again all so nice to have support. In RL people are very suspicious when you tell them you're not drinking.
Decided to tell a few close family members today and was a bit let down by the reaction, but hey ho I know what's right for me
