Evening all, following up on previous posts my dad's now up to 1L a day of Vodka (sometimes straight, occasionally mixed) but is having more and more side effects now. He's been getting iller and iller as time as past, and now has his second Bad period of Gastritis / Acid Reflux. Alongside this his liver is still getting worse although is somehow still not showing any sign of jaundice or severe cirrhosis.
He is talking to himself more and more, struggles to sleep most days, his balance is going and is now struggling with incontinence when he falls. He is also doing other things such as shouting no no no to himself at full blast, or making whooping noises to which he does not know why. Were awaiting answers on if his antidepressants are reacting with his acid calming tablets, but I'm curious if these are common symptoms found in people who are unfortunately facing brain problems.
Question two, and more medical based, I have read online cirrhosis can only be fully diagnosed through biopsy, what will be indicated through his regular blood tests?
