Is there such a thing as a nice alcohol-free prosecco?

I stopped drinking in June and feel great, but with the festive season coming up it would be nice to have a drink that feels a bit 'special'.

I don't mind the odd no alcohol beer or G&T but every alcohol-free wine I've ever tried has tasted like cat's piss. But I've never tried a zero alcohol prosecco and thinking maybe there's a decent one out there?

Freixenet alcohol free is nice.

Not Prosecco, but you can get Cava at half a percent alcohol.

bookish83 · 27/09/2021 17:30

Apparently 'Nosecco' is nice but I have not tried it

Not prosecco but I think Sainsburys sparkling AF is okay.

Also, jacobs Creek do a sparkling that has a dash of Green tea in it that makes it a little drier than other wines and I like that.

Also- there is a Waitrose sparkling AF but that is alot pricer I think.... around the £8-11 price range.

Scavvi and Ray but it's about £10 a bottle so quite pricey

MegBusset · 27/09/2021 17:36

Thanks - I don't mind paying for something that's actually nice rather than just passable...

Marks and spencer fizzero is nice as is eisberg sparkling

Ladysobermcsoberton · 27/09/2021 20:32

Best I've found is odd bird blanc de blanc. They do a nice sparkling rose too. I was worried I would be disappointed but it was really nice, its my go to now.

Noughty is the best I’ve tried by far.

Frexinet is also nice.

I have tried a couple of alcohol free Proseccos and cannot say I have liked them. Have you tried alcohol free gin? I guess it depends if you like gin, I haven't tried it but seems very appealing to me to have with soda x

justpoppy · 30/11/2021 21:55

Noughty is the driest and nicest I’ve tried. Nosecco is ok but a bit sweet and the M&S pink one is nice too.

Scarby9 · 30/11/2021 22:00

Nosecco generally gets the vote round here.

katedan · 15/12/2021 11:27

Nosecco is a great alternative

JoNeedshelp · 16/12/2021 00:08

@justpoppy

Where do you get Noughty from? When I'm drinking wine I have it the drier the better, gooseberry etc. So would like I find something dry.

Lagioiosa is a lovely Italian sparkling wine from Morrison’s.
