Day 10 and fed up and struggling

I've hit a wall today. I really want a drink. I've none in the house. But I am surrounded by bars where I live.

Perhaps I need to buy some AF gin or something. Wondering if this would help or just make things worse.

Th problem is I don't just want one drink, I want three or four.

Don’t do the AF thing - it will only feed the craving. If you’re not getting any sort of support, distract yourself by looking for some now online - there are loads fo groups/chat forums you can join to eat up the time. AA may be a bit hard core for you, but have a look as they have a 24 hour helpline. And try to take it an hour at a time - the cravings do mysteriously vanish eventually. Ten days is amazing - it will get easier.

10 days Grin Congratulations!

What are you going to do with the money you've saved over the last 10 days?

Touty join us on the alcohol free thread , I’m at three weeks now and finding it really supportive .

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

I didn't give in last night, I played it forward, and thought about the consequences of having 3 or four large g and tonics, and when I say large, I live in Spain you know the serving sizes are not measured. Returning home at midnight and having to deal with my DH who hates alcohol and does not drink.

On the plus side, my face isn't puffy anymore and I can see cheeck bones.

Thinking I might put the money saved towards a breast reduction.

I will come over to the AF free thread, is it forbidden to speak about drink there I'm not sure ?

Well done for having not had a drink last night and congratulations on 10 days. Absolutely not forbidden to talk about it. Many of us head there when the wine witch starts calling to ask for support until she finally shuts up. See you over there.
