Hey! I'm on day 3 of no drinks today and I'm just wondering how long did it take the withdrawal symptoms go away for everyone? I've been fine besides irritable mood swings and crying spells but I'm fighting through it so far so good. Any tips?

It probably depends how much and how long you have been drinking. Also, everyone has a different tolerance level. Someone who has been drinking heavily for many many years would probably need to stop drinking with medical care because the withdrawal symptoms can be so bad. But for someone who let’s say had 2-3 drinks 5 days would probably just have a headache a couple days.

I would say just do things to take care of your self and keep mind occupied. Take a bubble bath, get a massage, make yummy meals; find a good book or movie to watch. Do some exercise. This is only if you are physically okay. If you feel dreadful; then I would consult your GP.

I'm also in day 3 (well day 4 this morning), I've been listening to Michael Seely hypnosis mp3 on you tube. They are an hour long and get me past the work is over, I'll have a glass of wine feeling and also they leave me feeling positive and fresh and ready to get on with the rest of the evening and next day. I'm loving the no hangover mornings.
