Blood test?

Hi

I've been asked to go for a blood test which I have been told will tell how muxh I've been drinking and how long for. Does anyone know the name of this test and does it show after 4 weeks abstinence?

If the frequency of binges is less, for example someone who has only one binge in a 14 day period while abstaining from consuming alcohol for the other 13 days, they are unlikely to have raised CDT levels; this is because the normal transferrin produced during the 13 day abstinence period would 'dilute' the carbohydrate deficient transferrin resulting from the day of the binge

I can only assume this is the test. The woman made it sound like a threat so I don't really know how long back it can detect because it was daily drinking before the 4 weeks abstinence, wondered if anyone had any experience with it
