Body odour (sorry!)

So I'm 59 days sober today (longest ever!!) and for the first time in decades I now have BO!! Assuming my body trying to heal itself but that and the Uber smelly farts (sorry again) is pretty ugly! Anyone else experienced this?
Apart from that loving being sober!!

Congratulations to you on the 59 days that’s fantastic. I didn’t want to read and run sorry I don’t have any specific advice.
One thought, have you also changed your diet and lifestyle? I was wondering if the stinky farts might be due to different foods as well as the body getting used to no alcohol? Are you exercising more or have you changed your hygiene routine in any way?

I’m sorry! It was the only thing I could think of!
Have you tried charcoal tablets for the farting?! You can get them from places like Holland and Barrett, they are good for wind!
Is the BO manageable with a good antiperspirant? I sometimes find I need to change mine from time to time it’s seems like the body gets used to the same one.
Good luck though, you have made such great progress with staying sober.

Well done! Bloody good job. I think you'll mostly have to suffer it while your liver finds a new balance - the charcoal tabs might help, but otherwise it's probably a good thing it's warm enough to open windows! Maybe try playing with your diet a bit? Meat farts is a thing. Is the timing right for period bowels?

Thx good tip re new deodorant! Think all the alcohol I was drinking was probably blocking all my sweat pores!

Mitchum spray is the best deodorant I've come across if you haven't already tried that!

I found this last time I stopped. It wasn't usual BO as such but I definitely had a strange body odour that wasn't exactly pleasant. I read that it's something to do with your liver breaking down toxins. I don't know if that's true but it makes sense that you are going to smell a bit sour if you've spent YEARS poisoning yourself and then you stop. It
resolved after a couple of weeks, thank goodness.
