rxisk.org/driven-to-drink-antidepressants-and-cravings-for-alcohol/

I have spent the last few months wondering where my husbands new found love of drink had come from-if any of you are on chat you might have seen my post. Over the last few weeks I have seen some damning anecdotes about certain SSRI’s causing severe alcohol cravings. I am convinced it is his Antidepressants-we are stopping them and seeing if it helps.

The point of this post is information-not all SSRIs are included, and it won’t always cause alcohol cravings-however if you’ve suddenly developed a taste for it that seems in line with taking ADs then consider whether it might be a possibility.

Our marriage has been very rocky recently down to all this-I figure I’m probably not the only one, if one person reads this and comes out the other side having discovered it was the ADs then I’ll be happy.

Obviously for disclaimer purposes for the love of god don’t just stop taking them without speaking to your GP.
