i haven’t had a drink since I had 2 bottles of wine on Saturday night. I am attempting to go teetotal AGAIN, so I may need a handhold this week.
If I am tempted with alcohol, and come on here instead, can someone talk sense to me?

I have had periods of complete sobriety, but this latest episode of frequent drinking has been going on since my mum died in October and I really want to stop.

I'm sorry for your loss Flowers

I'm sure someone better than me can come along to help you soon. I'm in a similar position r.e. the alcohol. Everything is currently going wrong (again) and alcohol is my crutch but last week I ended up sick at work after drinking (a normal amount) the night before and made a big mistake. Noone except me knows it was alcohol related so I keep my job but the seriousness has stopped the uncontrollable 'want' for the first time. I hope it stays.
