I like the elderflower cordial with sparkling water at home, I still put it in a wine glass.
Lately I’ve been just having a herbal tea or a low cal hot choc at night.

m&s do some sparkling juice which are a good champagne alternative as they taste a bit deeper than normal fruit juice and they come in a fancy champagne bottle

A lot of its sweet to be honest. I cant stand alcohol free wines they give me a headache

Pinguinosa · 01/05/2018 15:02

I'm not an alcoholic but was just interested in this for trying to cut down drinking at those awful work functions.

I read somewhere that if you like wine part of it can be habit forming so drinking your non-alcoholic drink out of a wine glass can help.

Apple juice is good as it can pass for wine espcialy if a bit diluted with mineral water.

sunraintea · 26/05/2018 10:40

I managed to stop drinking wine by drinking sparkling water and 'adult' cordials out of a wine glass Smile I still drink it out of a wine glasses at weekends so it feels like a treat. I'm 141 days off the wine now 😊

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 08/07/2018 20:46

applecatchers36 · 08/07/2018 20:52

Metalhead · 10/07/2018 11:00

I don’t drink beer but have discovered that I really like AF beers, they taste much nicer! Also love AF strawberry & lime cider on ice.

RedSquirrelMoonlight · 18/08/2018 03:01

The AF wines mixed with sparkling or tonic water are great, much less sweet but still have the body / tasty of a wine spritzer.

vivalafrida · 22/08/2018 04:15

Seedlip alcohol-free spirits are brilliant. Expensive, but not sweet, make a lovely 'gin' and tonic, sufficient 'bite' to make you feel like you're having a grown-up drink.

Becks Blue is a good AF beer.

RainRainGoAway2 · 29/08/2018 22:50

Alcohol free lager, in a pint glass, topped up with lemonade! Tastes and looks like a real shandy! I swear I've even felt drunk after a few!!

Polkapjs · 29/08/2018 22:52

Ginger ale with lime slices and ice

MissConductUS · 29/08/2018 22:52

Water, fruit juices, water, coffee, more coffee, tea.

greeneggblueegg · 30/08/2018 14:07

Fever Tree tonics have a grown up 'bite' to them

applecatchers36 · 30/08/2018 14:37

Bitburger Drive is a good alcohol free German larger and Small beer have a 1% dark larger. Can get both at majestic.

Jayar · 04/09/2018 08:44

Aiming to do 30 days AF in September, wine is my big weakness. Apart from the Muscat at co-op, mentioned above, are there any other white wines (dry) people would recommend? X

Jent13c · 04/09/2018 08:45

Black currant and lemonade

crumpet · 04/09/2018 08:48

Seedlip are good, and I noticed another AF “gin” in John Lewis the other day. AF beers are fine too. I prefer to avoid too many sweet drinks if I’m not drinking - too sticky.
