Hello Everybody! I am a father of 4 DDs and a husband of a recovering alcoholic. DW has been sober for almost six months now and our relationship has improved dramatically, our attitude towards each other and life in general has become so much more beautiful now but Ive had a feeling that our lack of intimacy is somewhat a result of the sobriaty? This is a very difficult topic to discuss as I don't want to insinuate that I am blaming her in any way so I thought I would ask the universe for a path to the answer.

There are many possible reasons for this, including the possibility that she associated sex with drinking or used alcohol to lower her inhibitions.

Give her a bit of time, then gently, lovingly just tell her how you feel without expectations for any immediate change. You will both have to deal with this together. She is still learning how to live without drinking.
