Boyfriend drinks

Help!! How can I get my boyfriend (he's 51) to realize drinking a 12 pack of beer every Saturday and Sunday is going to kill him, he also drinks 6-8 cans a night.. I can't deal with his verbal abuse anymore.. When he drinks his jealousy comes out..

It's amazing how he can change, he gets up and goes to work every day (he works in a doctors office,) you would never know he's a drinker,.. Nice as can be, it's sad because we do most of our communication through texting because that's the only way I can get him when he's not under the influence

Having had experience with 2 alcoholic relatives (uncle and FIL), the answer is you cant.
