Hi there

@snowdon04

Are you still around?

Hi, I know I'm very late to this discussion but I was born in vietnam (a few generations of us were and am of Chinese ethnicity), came to UK in the 80s and now am UK citizen. My husband and I have undergone 3 failed rounds of IVF and are now looking to adopt in vietnam. Does anybody have any advice on where to look for info/ how to reduce these costs? We will be funding another round of IVF which will cost around 30k due to my husband's genetic condition (why we haven't been able to conceive) so cost will be a real issue. Thanks so much for your help. FYI my husband also has UK citizenship and is a white Brit - not sure if our ethnic backgrounds make a difference in these considerations?

@Lanaday
Have a look at the Government guidelines on this. There are strict criteria for adoptions from Vietnam.

Thanks PoppityPop, I had seen this but then found this thread, which seems to suggest people are finding ways to make this work so I thought there might be other resources/ loopholes?

The Intercountry Adoption Centre have an advice line and will be able to discuss this with you.
Do give them a call.
