Trying not to get too excited.......

....but failing miserably!
Our Social Worker came to visit us last week to discuss the profile of a 15 month old little girl. She said that the little girls SW likes our profile & wants to meet us & we are the only couple they are considering!!!! I know that we've still got hoops to jump through (we are 2nd time adopters so we've been here before!) & that it is not cut & dried yet, but have already allowed myself to fantasize about this little girl joining our family.

Need to calm down but can't!

Thanks folks! Don't know when SW is coming because our SW is now off for half term. Will hopefully find out on Monday (am a teacher & never been so keen for half term to be over!!!!!)

Have wasted spent entire morning surfing the net for pushchairs!

I know just how you feel - hang on!! I have 3 adopted kids - 2 came together - then a gap, then number 3. I bought a pram (she was a baby it was amazing) before I knew she was definitely coming, and when it arrived I hid it in the garage and daren't even tell DH! I blame my hormones - they go mad when you adopt too as I am sure you know!! I just wished for her so much - I am going to cross everything for you. I really believe my kids were meant to be with me, so your next one will find you sooner or later - hopefully sooner - good luck.

Oh thanks folks. Two of my closest friends are away this week so haven't been able to share my excitement with them, so it's nice to do it on here instead!

Hester.....how old is the little girl? When do you expect to hear any more news? The waiting is terrible isn't it?

Juliagee......LOL at you hiding the pram in the garage!

Off to read more pushchair reviews.....

Phew, half term over with & our SW back is back in the office! The little girls SW is coming to see us on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!! Am nervous & excited in equal measure. Keep everything crossed for us.

Oooops, been meaning to come back on here & post an update!!! Well the little girls SW liked us & wants to go ahead with us. We even saw a DVD of her and she is just gorgeous! We are booked in for matching panel on 22nd April with intros starting 1st week in May!!! Still can't believe it to be honest and am just trying to keep busy to distract myself from the wait. We are meeting the FC on Thursday which I'm excited about. Am dying to find out what age clothes she wears so I can buy just one little outfit!!

Hester - have you had any news? (apologies if you've posted something on another thread).

Yes, in fact we're the only family the SW came to see. This LA doesn't have any particular policy on matching, sometimes they only visit one family, sometimes they might visit two or three. I don't think they ever take more than one family to panel though.
