so,

when can you adopt someone elses child?

i ask this as someone i know who has had no/little contact with her children has been told last month that they have been 'adopted' by thier new family,

can this happen?

does your friend still have parental rights for her children? ie have they been taken away by a court? even if this is the case, she still has the right to object to an adoption, though the court will decide if her objection is reasosnable

if the children have been in the care of SS for a time they may have been placed with a family with a view to adoption, but she should have been told about this.

this assumes that your friend and her children live in the UK

no court involved, no ss involved,

live in uk,

i am sure it is wrong
