I have emailed SS to say I have concerns about a child going through the adoption process. Haven't had a response from them yet.

Have spoken to a friend who thinks I should stay out of it.

as a foster carer who has children come into the care system damaged because they were kept at home too long in bad situations--i say report it hunny
sometimes people just need a bit of support but dont know who/how to ask for it

They still haven't emailed me. What do I do? I guess they are really busy and I might not have sent it to the right place.

In this case, they wouldn't accept support as they don't see they are doing anything wrong.

Social workers are busy and out a lot but I'm sure your contact will get through eventually - you could always ring the local children's team to check. But bear in mind these things are pretty confidential so you may not get much feedback on how it's followed up - there might be more going on behind the scenes than you realise.

That's fine. I wouldn't expect any further contact and if the child was removed I would know anyway tbh.

I hope it gets sorted out for you.

They have emailed back and I have replied with my concerns.
