After a lot of thinking, and backing out before Stage 1 a couple of years ago, I have submitted my ROI. I've got my prep course booked, my first social worker visit booked in and I've applied for my (3rd concurrent) DBS.

It all feels very really now. I'm as ready as I'll ever be, but a little part of my brain wants to put the brakes on.

WHatadvice would you give a new solo adopter?

Sorry you haven't had much in the way of responses. Read as much as you can about adoption, including these boards. Continue to ask questions. I think you perhaps didn't get many responses this time as your question was so open. As a single adopter, in particular, your support network is so important so look at ways you can build and expand on that.
