has Anyone had their adopted adult ‘child’ going more towards the birth parents? No apparent reason, there are no issues we are aware of

No experience sorry. But it sounds hard.

@Animallover2325

How old is he?
It could be just him exploring his natural curiosity about them. There don't necessarily need to be 'issues'.
Bear in mind its also natural that young adults assert their independence, I would say Im very close to my 21 year old son, but he's away at uni and during term time I barely hear from him, unless it's about football.
Give him space, let him know you will always be there for him.

Thanks similar kind of age. I do get the age thing, it’s just hard to get conversations going these days

You are not providing a lot of info so it's hard to get a sense of what's happening.
