If a LO is placed in kinship car, is it right that the carer has no funding entitlement because it is "an informal arrangement with SW." This is with a Scottish local authority for reference.

No, it being informal simply means that there’s no supervision order in place, so the placement is probably considered a Section 25 placement. That means the child is legally “looked after” on a non-compulsory basis sometimes referred to as voluntary. The carer should be entitled to financial support in line with national guidance. Hi im in the middle of trying to get kinship well we dont even have a care plan yet thats on the 29th and we dont even know what that is my heads frazzled

I don't know but the charity "kinship" have a helpline that may be able to assist?

@EG88hi were on an interim 3 weeks then back to a panel and we've to get £50 a week and we're a Scottish council aswell hope things are good
