We've bought our foster carers a gift and a card for the end of introductions.

I've absolutely no idea what to write in the card. I can't just write thanks!

Help please

Have you started introductions yet? It might flow more from the heart once you've you've spent that time with them. That said, I think I recall a feeling of words not being enough. The card I gave probably read something like 'thank you so much for all you have done for x'. So I bought a big bouquet of flowers as well in the hope that that would do some of the heavy lifting in terms of conveying gratitude.

I got my daughter's fc a plant for her garden that held a lovely memory from a nearby botanical gardens that she took daughter to a lot.

I was so frazzled by the end of intros that I just left the plant at her house, never even got round to the card. I have since written many a christmas card to her with my thanks and admiration for her in them. Her only ongoing wish was to stay a part of my daughter's life, which she very much is, so I dont feel guilty about the card!

You could thank them for loving your child and for everything they have done for them, promise to stay in touch (if they want to), thank them for welcoming you in their house, answering all your questions, making introductions a wonderful/smooth/memorable/happy though strange experience.
