Single male wanting to adopt

Hi has anyone adyexperience of adopting as a single male , I'm giving up on getting a relationship but am desperate to be a father but I'm worried that adoption as a single male may be difficult!

There was a single, male adopter in my prep group. He said he didn’t think the process was any different for him than anyone else. He later adopted again when birth mum had another child. Good luck!

I have known several. It is absolutely possible but there are two separate issues in adopting - one is getting approved and the other is getting a family finder to place a child with you. You may find that it takes longer to get a child placed as a single adopter.

My social worker said he's had several single males, and lots of children will need just 1 carer and lots dont specifically need a mum
