So we've had out home visit, references have all come back and completed stage 1 training and medicals.

However we had our medicals at the beginning of August, they wanted to follow up with questions for a therapist I saw 2 years ago.

Then no contact from the agency until October. When I had to chase them 3 times for an update, where I was then asked about a medical issue from 5 years ago. Then heard nothing. Then asked again for an update and was asked about something on my notes from the therapy I had, so back to that. Answered their query and again no update.

Seems very dragged out, why can't they ask everything in one go? This has been ongoing since beginning of August, so 4 months. I'll ask for an update, they'll eventually get back to me with a ridiculous question, e.g do you still have back ache from your car crash? I then have to email back and say I never had back ache. So clearly they haven't read my report properly. And then nothing. So just 1 email, prompted by me and then silence. Would I be unreasonable to ask for a time frame for when I'm moving onto stage 2 as I've gone through the medical and answered all their questions

No I don't think you would be being unreasonable to ask. They do seen a bit flaky

You might also want to think about another agency depending on what uf anything they say

Still no update and I'm beginning to get cross, but I'm taking this as a test and I'm not going to lose my rag.

5 months of nothing, except for stalling? That is crazy. We had to wait for a social worker to have capacity for 3 months, but we knew what we were waiting for. A friend of mine often of quotes the saying "What starts sh, ends sh". I think this might be one of those times and would move on to another agency.

Yes 5 months of random questions about the medical and me chasing for updates. If they say no after this, I will be making a complaint. Not that they'll deal with that appropriately.
