Intros

Greetings.

I am curious if anyone has taken older bc along to intros? Perhaps it's not suitable and is inappropriate for the situation. Not sure.

How old are the BC?are they still living at home?our BC were entirely in the intro plan but maybe you mean older ones not living at home I am guessing?

Yes living at a home, 16. I've searched and searched and can't find anyone mentioning bc included in intros.

Oh yes if living at home I'm sure they would be included in intros. Our intros were planned very much with our older two in mind and lots of consideration gone into what would work ok for them. We had a meeting to organise the intros and all make sure we were all happy with each aspect of the plan. We did have time just parents factored in but most of it was whole family involvement. Yours is older so may well be that you have more just parent time than us perhaps. I would speak to your social worker/family finder as you get towards it and they will make the intros plan with you.

@tonyhawks23 oh thats really good to know. I'm so afraid of asking anything which make me look clueless.

I think bc will want to be very included. Will have to see what the schedule looks like as she will not be keen for 6am visits haha.

My child was 9.

We made arrangements for them for the first day so we could visit just me and dh with new son. Then older child joined on day 2.

Thank you. Did they then attend every day after that? How did it go with them being there?

They attended everyday and it went well.
