Not really an adoption post but this is the only place I feel I feel comfortable writing. Have adopted 6 and sadly 2 have died ( 2 other little darlings died prior to adoption order) We knew all four had short life expectancy sadly my youngest birth DC has died of cancer and 3 people have said now you know what it’s like to lose your own. How dare they assume how much I love my my beautiful children differently. Sorry to rant .

What utterly ill informed comments you have had to face. You know the incredible depth of your love for all your children. Your children know it too xx

Such thoughtless, insensitive, ignorant comments. I’m so sorry for all your losses - it’s a very special person that adopts knowing their child has a shortened life span, I wish you all the love in the world.

@mumof2many1943 that is a heartbreaking amount of loss for one person and one family to bear. I salute you for doing what many people could not do and adopting a number of children with short life expectancy. I am sorry for the loss of those children and I am equally as sorry for the loss of your birth child. I hope you have strong support IRL but please continue to use us as a venting board. You are clearly a very special person with a lot of love in your heart.

Thankyou you lovely people what would I do without you? My lovely husband died last year(bloody cancer) but I do have my 3 with Down Syndrome to keep me focussed but they too are grieving in their own way.
Once again thankyou for all your support and love.

I'm so sorry for your losses. It sounds really tough and people have no idea how insensitive and horrible comments like that can be.

I hope you find some peace for you and your other children, and make sure you take time for yourself too.

As regards stupid comments ....Well I have no words ! Well non that wouldn't see me banned anyway .
