I thought I'd introduce meyself as I'm new to Mumsnet but am in the process of adopting three kids.

We've known them for 18 months as we've been doing respite fostering and they will permanently placed with us in two weeks.

Scared and excited at the moment!

Would love to see what other's experinces have been.

Welcome mummybop. Hats off to you -adopting 3 children. I don't have any experience of adoption personally - but I am a mum of 3 myself and my job share partner has adopted two little boys in the last 4 years.

Presume your three will be siblings - how lovely and exciting!

We have an 8 year old girl, a 6 year old boy and a 4 year old girl and yes they are siblings.

Thats so lovely that they can stay together! And how fabulous to have a ready made family without knacking your body through pregnancy and no night feeds and nappies!! What a result!

We were placed with a sibling group of three in Sept 05.
Girl aged 4 1/2
Boy aged 2 1/4
Girl 10 mths

Hoping to go to court to formally adopt next month. Has taken rather a long time, as it came to light that our boy has SN and we needed to get it all sorted by LA, still not sorted so just going ahead with it and will see what happens.

Love them to bits and can't imagine life with out them
