Wanted to share this verse

I made some special keepsake cards for family amd friends when my daughter was born 2 months early. My friend was really impressed and asked me to make some for the little boy she was adopting. I found this lovely verse for her cards and just wanted to share it.

Not flesh of my flesh
Nor bone of my bone.
But, still, miraculously,
My own.
Never forget,
For a single minute-
You didn't grow under my heart,
But in it.

It made us both weepy.x

My little brother was adopted and that is so true. Thank you for sharing.

I read that somewhere when we were waiting to be matched with ds. I do love the sentiment, but the pedant in me is irritated that it doesn't scan properly.
