When will my DDs get a break in life?

DD1, car accident, hurt her back, for now in a wheelchair, even her referral from consultant got lost for a year, turns out it was never actually sent. Trying to find somewhere to rent with her DH, can't find anywhere with ground floor and parking and when she does they lose out to someone else.
DD2, MH & covid meant no GCSE passes, going OK at college now 2nd year, tried to volunteer at local city farm, just got knocked back from that.

Sorry, moan over.

I think you are entitled to have a moan.
Trying to get rentals is so hard at the moment, having those additional needs makes it all the harder. Hope they get something soon.
I know GCSEs will feel like the end of the world for her right now, but if she carries on in college she will be ok. I feel sad that children are put under so much pressure and feel that what they do at 16 is the be all and end all.
It's great that she tried to volunteer - I'm.sure there will be other opportunities for her

Thanks @Ted27 I know you speak a lot of sense.

I think DD is less bothered by the GCSEs than I am, and I have kind of made by peace with it. She's y13 now I'm just getting fed up with maths & English.

They just both deserve some stuff going their way for a change. It seems to be disappointment after knockback at the moment.
