Hello , im looking into adoption and have been told that I have to go 6 months without vaping before starting the application , just wondering if anyone has had this before and what evidence they had to prove they haven’t vaped for 6 months, i have spoken to my gp but they have never done anything like this before.

Can't help with what evidence you can provide but I think it's standard now I'm adoption for it to be treated the same as smoking. Our la ask for 6 months also.

We had the same, our social worker and GP both said that if we were smokers we would be advised to vape but as vapers there wasn't any advice or measure for quitting!
If it helps we did both quit by stopping nicotine cold turkey first (and continuing to vape nicotine free) and then the vaping tailed off as the addiction was gone.
Having a bit of a process gave everyone something to write in the box which I think helped!

Make a GP appointment and ask them to document that you have quit smoking/vaping. Then when you have your medicals there is a documented time and date that you officially quit as proof.
