So we have relatives staying over Christmas.

All due 24th , apart from dd who we have not seen for 6 months .We and she we looking forward to some time just with her due to this .
At a perty last night we got a call from her sister to say she and her b/f were coming today and did I have an item she needed.

I said but you are not due till 24 th ( apparently had told her sister had changed the date but not us )

This am I spoke to dh and sister .. they said they would both prefer a quite day and am tomorrow prior to arrival of all the guests . I must say to be fair to dd2 .. she is unaware that the plan was for quiet time with other dd , but on the other hand we were look forward to it .

aibu to tell her no it wont work for us sort of ?( she is bring her bf ) and we would appreciate time with dd as not seen her in ages . She is unlikely to accept this , seeing this as her home.

which would risk offending her ?

or just not say anything? … Christmas seems to intensify things and whilst we really want time just with our dd who we have not seen for such a long time this may cause an issue and we don't to .

Thankyou.

You all sound very unkind towards DD2 I don't think it is very nice. Your DH and DD1 sound very selfish
