hi all
trying to decide if we should / could opt for early permanence. in training for both that and standard adoption. any experiences you could share would be very welcome. i am less worried about getting through a child being returned to its birth family (very tough I know but could I can accept ) and more about how to cope with health uncertainties. many thanks for taking the time

Regarding health uncertainties, you need to assess each case individually. You can ask about birth Mum/Dad/family health - has anyone got a hereditary illness. You can also ask about existing children's development if the EPP baby has siblings. Ultimately no one has a crystal ball, but you can gather evidence to risk assess.

Importantly, and I speak with experience, once that baby is placed with you, you will love them as your own and face any health issues with them, as you would a birth child.
